In this venture I have four specific aims: (a) To outline the possible benefits of a process-oriented response model for personality assessment and to relate such a model to previous work; (b) to provide the elements of a threshold conception for personality Cited by: Li (): Examining the Process of Responding to Circumplex Scales of Interpersonal V alues Items: Should Ideal Point Scoring Methods Be Considered?, Journal of Personality Assessment, DOI: The authors' results indicate that ideal point models can provide as good or better fit to personality items than do dominance models because they can fit monotonically increasing item response.

Item Response Theory vs. Classical Test Theory. IRT Assumptions. 1) Monotonicity – The assumption indicates that as the trait level is increasing, the probability of a correct response also increases2) Unidimensionality – The model assumes that there is one dominant latent trait being measured and that this trait is the driving force for the responses observed for each item in the measure3.

Test takers are attempting to manage a unidirectional social interaction where test takers are. Each individual project manager tackles the challenges of their assignments in different ways.
And these differing approaches are often significantly shaped by the individual's personality. This paper examines how personality can influence the way a project manager addresses the challenges involved in managing projects.
